Leviticus
8-11; Psalm 27

“The
Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life –
of whom shall I be afraid?”
“One
thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of
the Lord all the days of my life”
Not
long ago the life group I’m a part of from my church had a discussion imagining
what our lives would be like without Jesus. I immediately thought about what it would be like not to
have the Holy Spirit to guide me, comfort me, give me peace, give me
strength….What would it be like not to have my source of hope?
I
think the darkness would take over.
I know that different people struggle with different things. I think for
me, if I didn’t know the Lord, I could see depression, fear, and anxiety
winning in my life. But He is my
light! He is my salvation! He is the stronghold of my life! There is nothing I want more than to be
in His presence. Without Him all I
see is darkness.
Remembering
those in the darkness as I pray today…
