Week 2 - Day 2

Genesis 23-25; Psalm 7

*Click here to read these passages:

“He will send his angel before you…”  Angels are in the Bible from beginning to end, and it is a cool reminder that there is so much going on in the spiritual world that we don’t even realize.  God is working and going before us all the time.

My husband Josh has been overseas many times to areas that are considered somewhat unsafe.  Every time the date for one of his trips is set I start praying every day until he leaves for God to prepare the way.  I pray that He’ll prepare for every step that Josh and the team takes.  I pray He’ll put the right people in their path and keep those who would intend harm blind to their presence.  I pray for their health, provision, wisdom, discernment.  There are some amazing stories to the ways God has shown He’s answered these prayers!

I pray for my children’s future all the time…that God would go before them, that He would be preparing their future spouses to be close to God, loving and giving people.

I prayed for God to prepare my mom’s heart when I needed to tell her I felt God’s calling into the mission field and for the right opportunity to talk about it.  She ended up starting a conversation about it and said that God had told her years before.  So, He had been preparing her even before I knew!

This all reminds me once again of His love for me and that He has a plan and purpose for me.  It also reminds me to keep praying for him to go before me!
