Deuteronomy 4-6; Psalm 44
*Click here to read these passages:
“Watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things
your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to
their children after them.” (Deut. 4:9)
“I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children
for the sin of their fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who
hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and
keep my commandments.” (Deut. 5:9-10)
“Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all
my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children
forever!” (Deut. 5:29)
“These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your
hearts. Impress them on your
children. Talk about them when you
sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you
get up.” (Deut. 6:6-7)
“We have heard with our ears, O God; our fathers have told us what
you did in their days, in days long ago.” (Psalm 44:1)
These are the verses that stood out for me today. I’m praying for a revolution in my own
generation. I’m praying for a
revolution that we would impact not only the next generation rising up, but also
those all around the world who for generations have not known the love, mercy,
and truth of Jesus. That we would
truly love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our
strength.
