2 Chronicles 33-36

“The Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them through his
messengers again and again, because he had compassion on his people and on his
dwelling place.” (36:15)
I feel like there seems to be a theme in my reflections this week
of what God is teaching me. “Again
and again” … I’ve thought about how the Israelites needed to be reminded again
and again of the importance of following God and relying on Him
completely. I’ve thought about how
it was because of His great love for them that he warned them again and again . I’ve thought about the different
pictures in the Bible being used again and again to show us what is important
to God, such as lifting up the poor and broken and treating them as princes.
But today … I’m asking God to open my eyes to what He is trying to
tell me. Is there something that I’m
ignoring or that I keep forgetting that He has to keep telling me again and
again?
