“Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead
us and go out before us and fight our battles.”
Will the Israelites ever learn? They weren’t supposed to be like all the other nations; they
had something so much better.
Did they not realize that God, when they looked to Him as King,
always went before them and fought their battles? Why do they keep rejecting Him?
I wonder - Does God think these things about us today? About me?
When will we learn that He is the one who goes before us and
fights our battles if only we follow Him?
When will we learn that we’re not supposed to be like the world? Why would we look anywhere but to the
King of Kings?
