Job 25-31
“The words of Job are ended.” This is the last of Job’s speeches with his friends. Within it he speaks very eloquently
about wisdom.
“Where can wisdom be found? Where does understanding come
from?” “It cannot be bought with
the finest gold, nor can its price be weighed in silver.”
“God understands the way to it and He
alone knows where it dwells, for He views the ends of the earth and sees
everything under the heavens.”
He sees what we can’t see.
That is why we need wisdom from God. That is why we need to trust Him.
This made me think of a patient-doctor relationship. We go to a doctor when we have a need
because the doctor has wisdom that we don’t in that area. They have training and tools so they
can see what we can’t see, and so we trust them.
I need wisdom to deal with struggles. I need wisdom for things I say to people. I need wisdom for how to raise my
kids. I need wisdom to be a good
wife. I need wisdom for the
decisions I make in my life. It is
more precious than gold and lies in the hands of the One who created
everything. He sees what I can’t
see and knows what I can’t know. I
will trust in Him.
