2 Kings 1-2; Psalm 91

“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all
your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike
your foot against a stone. You
will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the
serpent.
‘Because he loves me,’ says the Lord, ‘I will rescue him…I will be
with him in trouble.’
(Psalm 91:11-15)
This was a reminder I needed today. I have been feeling somewhat like the one being
trampled. I needed the image of
being lifted up over the hazard, and even more than that, being the conqueror
over it.
The Lord says, “I will be with him in trouble;” not that there
will be no trouble, but that He will be there in the midst of it. He loves us so much to command his
angels concerning us to lift us up and to protect us.
Thank you Lord for lifting my spirit and strengthening my soul. Thank you for your love. Thank you that when I call you
answer.
